How to use transportation in Skyros
Airport/port transfer options
To Skyros you can travel either by plane from the airport of Athens (duration about 40 minutes) or from Thessaloniki (duration 45 minutes), or by boat from the port of Kimi (duration about 1 hour and 40 minutes) with regular daily routes.
The airport is 14 km away from Skyros Town. Access to / from the airport can be by bus, taxi or rental car.
To explore this amazing island it is a good idea to have your own (rental) car, Alternatively, there are intercity bus routes that connect the country with most settlements on a regular basis.
