Paxi A tropical paradise!

An idyllic place endowed with natural, almost divine beauty that invites you to explore it. Visit Gaios, the capital of the island and wander the beautiful Venetian square and the picturesque alleys with traditional mansions, the colours and style of which refer to the past, in a more romantic era. At 5.5 km north of Gaios is Loggos, a fishing village with a special charm. With stone and coloured houses and the old mills in the surrounding hills, Loggos is famous for its excellent taverns where you can enjoy fresh fish and local recipes
On the west side of the island enjoy the magnificent view of the sunset from the location of Hermit with its imposing cliffs. Take a boat ride in the emerald caves.
Do not forget to visit Antipaxos at 5.5 miles from Paxi, an island-paradise with an area of just 3 sq.km with enchanting shores. Voutoumi beach is one of the most beautiful in Greece. A small bay with shallow, crystal clear, turquoise waters with vegetation descending to the sea and the beach buried in the background with white sand and pebbles.
Enjoy excellent local cuisine in Paxi
Grilled Lobster, delicious Paxini tuna fish compose the gastronomic landscape of Paxi. In the traditional taverns you will enjoy local dishes: Tsilihourdopita (meat pie with liver), pastitsada (braised rooster with spaghetti), burdeto (fish with spicy sauce), sofrito (beef, sauerkraut) marinated fish with garlic, raisins and rosemary while you will also find local olive oil, honey, pastries and wine.
The best time to visit Paxi
June to mid-July and early September are the best times to visit the island and enjoy your time there. Late July and August are always good but you might want to avoid the crowds.

Port transfer options
One of the biggest advantages of Paxi is the proximity to mainland Greece, so they can be reached from Igoumenitsa and Parga.
There is a Ferry connection with Corfu also.
