Arachova, wonderful mix of nature and history, traditional and cosmopolitan
Arachova is undoubtedly the princess of Parnassos. Built amphitheatrically on its southern slopes, it ends in a ravine where the river Pleistos flows. A masterpiece of nature which everyone wants to visit.
Taking a walk in its picturesque alleys, you will meet the stone houses with traditional architecture, cobbled streets and lush landscape. The main street of Arachova is as if taken by a fairy tale! Lakka Square is the most central meeting point for residents and visitors, a square flooded with tables for coffee, sweets, drinks, in winter and summer. With a vibrant nightlife, Arachova has rightly gained the reputation of being the top winter destination for entertainment and the title "Mykonos of Winter".
One of the most beautiful sights, but also the most photographed one, is the watch. Imposing on the rock of Tyrias, it becomes even more impressive at night when it is illuminated.
