Skopelos is connected to mainland Greece by ferries from the ports of Volos, Evia (Mantoudi, Kimi) and Agios Konstantinos.
The island is also an ideal destination for island hopping in the Sporades, as it has frequent itineraries to the other islands of the complex and ferry tickets are quite cheap. Skiathos with its international airport is the nearest island connection.
Other choices are the airports of Thessaloniki (about 200 klm from the port of Volos) and Athens (about 350 klm from Volos)

Transportation to the island is done by KTEL buses that often run the route Skopelos Town – Glossa with intermediate stops on beaches and villages while there are taxis to facilitate you.
The best solution is your own car to explore the island but also to visit the countless beaches that exist. Alternatively you can rent a car or motorcycle from Skopelos Town.
