Each of the villages has its own character. Visit in West Zagori the famous villages of the valley of Voidomatis, Aristi, Megalo and Mikro Papigo while in Central Zagori the beautiful villages of Monodendri and Dilofo. Wander the cobbled streets, in the traditional neighborhoods with the beautiful mansions, covered with the characteristic dark gray local stone and admire the traditional Zagori architectural art. Discover the old orthodox churches and the many 10th century chapels, and drink crystal clear water at the ornate stone fountains.
To admire the majesty of nature, cross the famous Vikos Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world and go rafting on the river Voidomatis with its crystal-clear icy waters. Climb up to the mythical Drakolimni which stands peacefully on a mountain peak at 2,050 meters and enjoys from its throne the view that only eagles know.

Regarding the Epirus cuisine, no recommendations are needed. Zagorochoria, but also the whole of Epirus is famous for their pies. The Epirus pies are made with homemade pastry and the most famous are Batsina, Kasopita, Blatsara, cabbage pie, meat pie and the chicken pie.
The delicious pies accompany the other traditional dishes such as goat, lamb and beef cooked in the hull, Kontosouvli, grilled mutton, fried pork, boubouria and pompari. Epirus also produces excellent local products such as wine, cheeses (feta, galotyri, kefalotyri, vlachotyri), sausages and tsipouro that those who drink it consider it one of the best.

Zagorochoria is beautiful all year round. In winter, the white mountains make the landscape look alpine, in spring everything is reborn and green, in summer is cool and in autumn is like a canvas painted with dozens of wonderful colours.
