If you do not have your own car to move to Halkidiki there are other ways to move. You can fly to Macedonia Airport in Thessaloniki from Athens Airport as well as from other cities in Greece throughout the year.
Access to / from Macedonia Airport Thessaloniki can be done by bus, taxi or rental car.
An alternative transportation option is the intercity buses of KTEL from Athens to Halkidiki via Thessaloniki.
To move to Halkidiki, it is good to have your own car.
But even in case you do not have, there are bus routes that connect Halkidiki with most settlements of the Prefecture.
Alternatively, you can rent a car there.
