Cycling the day's route
Through the main roads of Santorini we head to the spectacular village of Oia. Travellers from around the world arrive in Santorini, just to walk along the Oia's picturesque alleys and gaze upon the endless blue of the Aegean. We recommend this to be our first stop, since there are many options to grab a coffee or a snack. Leaving Oia the traffic conditions start to be noticeably easier and basically will make the group cycle along the eastern part of the island. At some point the route redirects the cyclists to the lunar space of Monolithos beach, a mind blowing scenery with round shaped rocks and a unique sense of calmness. Deviating through the airport’s eastern road the cyclists can enjoy a second break at Kamari, although we can recommend two great alternatives.
Crazy Donkey Brewery Website - Maps | A friendly place which you can visit and taste the local brewed beer called… Crazy Donkey. Their beers are always fresh and unfiltered.
Volcano Slopes Vineyards - Website - Maps | Here, you can just rely to the experts and have a great wine tasting experience and learn a lot about why Santorini’s wine is so unique and special
After the second stop the group continues back to Perissa where the ride completes with some great views of the Caldera. It is a fascinating day.

Cycling the day's route
Today, the route is shorter but with many more things to see. The cycling group cruises through the beachside of Perissa and cycling on the b-routes they visit the island’s second most important port, Vlychada. There, all should visit the Tomato Museum website - map and get a glimpse on how this unfriendly, volcano soil contributed in tasteful tomatoes that made Santorini famous. After a short, gentle graded, uphill vineyard segment the group gets back on the main road. A couple of kilometres later the group pedals towards the western part of Santorini leaving the main road network. A stop at the Lighthouse is something that shouldn't be neglected. For those who are on sneakers, it would be a great idea to lock your bike and hike around the rocky part of the Lighthouse scenery.
Leaving the lighthouse we have included two optional stops. One the the Venatial Castle map which doesn’t offer too much to see, but the view for the top is really beautiful. The second is one of the island’s famous beaches, the Red Beach map, which took its name from red collared rocks around. All may jump in the water prior to getting back on their bikes.
The last part of the route simply gets the riders back to Perissa, with all cycling along the familiar, by now, road.
After Cycling
Holistic Cooking session
There is a very special place in Santorini, where tradition is kept alive, despite the effect of mass tourism. That is the Anydro Farm website where mr. Petros grows santorini tomatoes the same way as his family was doing for the last 150 years. Santorini fields have NO WATER, but still, the soil can liquify the night’s humidity enough to make the tomatoes grow. After visiting the fields and experiencing first handed how special this method is, the guests enjoy a healthy and locally produced meal made out of Santorini’s best ingredients.
Note: the prepared meal is quite filling and there will be no need to make any dinner plans

Cycling the day's route
The day begins with the ascent to Santorini's highest point at 550m above sea level. The road to Profitis Ilias Monastery, is constantly within the range of 5-7% of incline while some steep parts of 13%+ cannot be missed :-). The view from the very top offers a sense of freedom, since the view extends to the nearby islands like Amorgos, Anafi, Ios and many more. On a clear day, Crete is also visible. To recover from the uphill and to keep the energy reserves at good levels for the next day, we recommend the riders to adopt a touristic pace for the rest of the route. That is… visiting the town of Fyra and wine tasting!
Coming down from Profitis Ilias monastery, and after a coffee break at Fyra, the island’s cosmopolitan capital, it makes sense to visit
Santo Wines Website - Map The impressive location with the wide open view, will enable the cyclists to taste more than just a dozen of labels of Santorini’s wine. It is a special place to host a winetasting experience and it shouldn’t be missed.
Xatzidakis Winery Website - Map Here you can taste their clean and pure white ones which also won various prizes. It is a relatively small winery, away from mass tourism radars but there are a few labels that are worth trying
