Balos Lagoon

Pickup
Our day begins with picking you up from your hotel or from the designated pickup points by bus. We will head towards the western side of Crete to reach the port of Kissamos Kasteli.

During the Transport
After our escort provides all the necessary information about the cruise, we will arrive at the port where the ferry for Gramvousa awaits you to start the cruise. The escort will collect the money for the boat tickets from you so you can avoid the lines at the ticket offices.

Around 10:30
We depart for Balos Lagoon, with the journey lasting approximately 1 hour. On the ferry, there is a kitchen with self-service dishes, meals, and snacks. You can relax on a deck chair or in the lounge. During the cruise, you can observe the land elevation along the cliffs of Crete, a phenomenon that has occurred over 2000 years. The history of the island is explained through microphones in various languages.

At Balos Lagoon
To protect the unique natural ecosystem of Balos Lagoon, ships are not allowed to approach the beach. The ship will anchor about 100 meters from the coast and will stay there for approximately 1.5 hours for swimming. After your swim, the boat will take you directly to Gramvousa.

On the Island of Gramvousa
Upon arrival at the island of Gramvousa, you can either enjoy a swim or take a hike to the top of the island to visit the Venetian fortress. You have about 2.5-3 hours for this activity.

At 17:15
At 17:15, the ferry will arrive at the port, and the journey to this small paradise will come to an end.
