Tour of Crete: Heraklion, Rethymnon, Chania

Arrival at Heraklion airport. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast and morning departure for Elounda. Departure on a small boat to reach the island of Spinalonga and its Venetian fortress and barbecue lunch in a tavern. On the way back, stop at Agios Nikolaos seaside resort on the Gulf of Mirabello. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure for a guided tour at Knossos and the Archaeological Museum and continue to Lassithi plateau located in the heart of Mount Dikte. Visit the "eco-park" LASSINTHOS. Pass through some traditional villages. Lunch in a traditional tavern and a late-afternoon visit to Kera Kardiotissa Monastery. Return to Heraklion, overnight

Breakfast and morning departure to visit the famous Monastery of Arkadi, the Mecca of the modern history of Crete. Visit the old Venetian harbour and the old town of Rethymnon. Lunch in a tavern. Walk in the narrow streets of the town. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Morning departure towards Southwest of Crete. Arrival at the Askifou plateau for a photo stop. We continue to Sfakia, visit the village and taste the famous "pita Sfakiani", a traditional cake with honey. Lunch in a tavern. Departure to Fragokastelo (Venetian fortress) free time for swimming. In the afternoon visit the village Aradena. Dinner and overnight in Chania.

Stop at the fortress of Aptera, an important site of Greco-Roman antiquity. Continue to Argiroupolis, a village known for its natural springs, visit the village and tasting of local products. Lunch in a tavern and free time. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Transfer to the village of Argiroupolis for dinner. Overnight at hotel.
