It is emphasized that the Tourist Organization is not in a position to anticipate or control circumstances that are foreign to its sphere of influence and may lead to the cancellation of the trip or to damages due to non-performance or improper execution of the agreed travel services. Typical examples of such cases are: strikes, accidents, diseases, epidemics, organic disturbances due to local conditions, altitude, climate, due to meals not included in the itinerary or due to insufficient hygiene conditions due to external factors, injuries due to illness, terrorist acts, hijackings, earthquakes, weather, fires, epidemics, toxic infections and any other emergency or force majeure. In the above cases, our Tourist Organization does not bear any responsibility for repairing any damage caused by them, but will make every effort to support and care for travelers in any way, without making it a responsibility or obligation to cover relevant emergency costs, which should be covered, as in the case of force majeure, by the travelers themselves.

Reasonable complaints during the trip must be reported immediately and on the spot to the attendant (or, failing that, to our Organization), and to the service provider in writing. If the identified problem could not be resolved on the spot, after your return from the trip, you should submit in writing to our office any relevant complaint within 7 working days, along with any documents or other evidence you have for justification of. If the delay or inconsistency of the traveler results in the loss of flight, excursion, transportation or any other service offered, the traveler will have to reconnect with the team at his own risk and expense, without the right to a refund for the service lost or and for the entire trip if it fails to reconnect. The Agency will make every effort to assist it, without having or assuming any obligation or responsibility.

At airports and ports you must be at least two (2) hours before your departure. If there is no travel attendant, you must confirm your next flights with the airline on the spot and make sure what time and from which airport and terminal your flight departs.

In case a traveler interrupts his trip by his own decision and leaves the group, he is not entitled to any further service or compensation and the responsibility and costs of any travel outside the group are borne solely by him. In the same way, our office does not bear any responsibility for organized travel services which were not provided to the traveler by his own negligence or responsibility, due to his illness or sudden accident. In case the customer is prevented from participating in the organized trip in which he has booked a place, he can assign (informing in writing to our Organization) his reservation to another person, who meets the conditions for participation in the specific trip, no later than 7 days before the start of travel services, while for maritime transport the corresponding deadline is 10 working days before departure. The replacement (transferee) and the original participant (assignor) are jointly and severally liable to our Travel Agency, to pay to it any outstanding balance of the amount, as well as any additional costs of this assignment. It is clarified that any change should be exactly within the same framework and will be acceptable as long as all service providers in the organized trip (commercial companies, hotels, etc.) accept the changes. Travelers are responsible for the actions of the children who accompany them and must monitor them continuously throughout the journey for their safety and behavior.

Especially in the case of air carriers, it should be noted that the change of the passenger's personal data is not allowed, but only the cancellation of the existing reservation and the reservation of a new seat, if this is possible on a case by case basis and at the appropriate cost. Our Tourist Organization does not bear any responsibility in case this is not possible, and the resulting mandatory cancellation of the reservation will be made in accordance with the terms of cancellation provided herein or by the service providers. In the case of airline tickets which have been issued by return or multiple routes it is not always possible to use individual parts of the ticket. The user should contact the travel agency directly in order to be informed about the policy applied by each airline.

If the trip is interrupted due to quarantine or any hospitalization of the participant or for any further precautionary reason of public health or the destination country or any intermediate country, MAZI TRAVEL bears absolutely no responsibility to the traveler for not providing part or all of the services , having no obligation for any kind of compensation or replacement of a service provided at a later time.

7. Hotels-Accommodation / Ships and other means of transport

All information regarding the categorization or classification of the hotels and accommodations mentioned in our organized or sold travel plans is in accordance with the applicable legislation of each state for the tourist classification of hotels and accommodations, which may differ from country to country. Most hotel rooms have two beds or a semi-double. The triple rooms are, in essence, double rooms with an extra bed. They are usually not very comfortable and the extra bed may be smaller than normal or a sofa or rollaway. Rooms are usually delivered by the hotel between 14:00 and 16:00 and are available to tenants until 10:00 to 12:00 on the day of departure (depending on the policy of each Hotel). In case you wish to enter the room earlier or leave later, you will have to pay the relevant fee (if available). If, due to unforeseen difficulties, the tour operator is forced to change hotel with another of the same or higher category, the Travel Agency is not obliged to reimburse travelers.

In case of late arrival at the hotel, after the day or time of the scheduled arrival of the traveler, and if he has not informed the hotel in time, it has the right to cancel the reservation and make the room available for the entire period of the reservation, if asked.

In case of excessive bookings, our Organization will try to replace the room with another hotel room of the same category or if this is not possible with a lower class hotel room and will return the resulting difference to the customer, without our Organization taking any further responsibility or obligation.

In bus trips to excursions in Greece the seats are given in order of registration and do not change during the trip, while in trips abroad they change daily. Smoking on the bus is prohibited. The duration of an all-day visit / excursion does not exceed nine (9) hours in total, always calculated from the departure to the return to the hotel. The duration of the half day visit / excursion will not exceed four (4) hours, always calculated from the departure to the return to the hotel.

Airlines, for their own reasons, sometimes charter another airline for their own flights. This case is not a reason for cancellation of the trip by the customer or claiming any compensation.

We recommend that you do not leave exposed and constantly monitor all your personal items (eg mobile phones, etc.) in any place (hotel, ship, plane, etc.). Especially in hotels, it is international practice not to take responsibility for money or valuable items left in the room. For such cases there are often small safes.

8. Passports, entry visas & health formalities

The passport should be valid for as long as the scheduled return date is determined by the countries of destination. The countries of the Schengen area also accept the new type, with Latin characters, police IDs. Our Tourist Organization provides all the necessary information regarding the travel and other documents required for Greek citizens, for each trip and destination and their issuance and / or visa, but (even if it provides some assistance in the relevant process) is not responsible for any non-issuance or non-approval of these by the competent authorities, to which the traveler must address, as well as is not responsible in case the validity of the visa is less than the duration of the trip (ie the dates do not coincide) or in case a couple of travelers have different nationalities from each other, except Schengen. In particular, nationals holding foreign passports should inform the tourist office and contact the consular authorities of their country, as well as the countries they will visit, in order to check whether they need an entry visa or any other documents for the countries they will cross or travel to, as well as for their re-entry into Greece or the country from where they started. Failure to ensure the publishing issuance on time or approval of your travel documents does not justify the cancellation of your participation in the trip without charge of cancellation fees. Each traveler is responsible for the validity, security and safekeeping of his travel documents required for his trip. The traveler is responsible for keeping the tickets and generally all the travel documents throughout the trip.

The parent accompanying a minor child alone must bring with him / her a validated authorization in English, from the other parent, who is not traveling. A similar procedure is followed in case the minor is not accompanied by any parent / guardian, in which case a validated authorization from both parents is required. In any case, our office does not bear any responsibility if the local authorities do not allow them to enter their country or the air carrier does not allow them to enter the flight.

The traveler is obliged to comply with national provisions and regulations as well as the instructions of the national authorities. Our Organization does not bear any responsibility in case the traveler faces criminal prosecution, is called to appear before an authority, is arrested by the local authorities, etc.

Our organization provides all the information about any necessary vaccinations or other medical precautions for the areas of tropical or other epidemics. Due to the confidentiality of medical personal data - sensitive personal data - only the traveler himself has the responsibility to contact the relevant health authorities. The traveler is obliged to be informed in time by the local health offices about the health regulations of each country, as well as about the vaccines or medicines that may need to be procured. Customers with health problems should seek the advice of their doctor to travel, providing a medical certificate or a responsible statement that they can travel safely. Our Organization bears absolutely no responsibility for illness, injury, loss of life, accident or other health emergency during the trip. In the event of a similar incident, the Agency will try as much as possible to assist the victim, but is not obliged to cover any absolutely relevant expenses and change the travel plan, which will continue smoothly.

9. Insurance

Our Organization has concluded for each excursion that organizes an Insurance Professional Liability contract with an Insurance company. The insurance policy number and the details of the insurance company are listed in the package travel contract. The insurance policy deals with, among other things, the insolvency of the organizer, covering all travelers regardless of their place of residence, place of departure or place of sale of the travel service.

An insurance policy is in place for travelers who are under the age of 75 to cover travel accident insurance, medical / hospital costs from accidents, lost and delayed luggage, travel expenses, and the repatriation of travelers due to injury or illness. On the other hand, for people over 75 there is a specific framework of travel insurance coverage, which is limited to the cases: Repatriation expenses only by accident or death, loss of luggage, personal liability of the traveler, emergency expenses due to late arrival of luggage more than 4 hours , travel expenses or cancellation expenses if during the trip a serious health problem arises in his family members in Greece, reimbursement of advance payment (cancellation expenses) in case of inability to participate in the trip due to death or serious incident in B degree of kinship. Also, to deal with an illness during a trip within the European Union, we recommend that travelers contact their insurance company for the issuance of the "European Health Insurance Card", which is optional. The Agency therefore unreservedly recommends to travelers an optional insurance with the coverages and amounts they want, for life insurance, accidents, luggage, etc., as international conventions limit the liability of carriers, which can also buy from our offices with costs specially designed for them.

10. Luggage

The luggage is transported with the responsibility and care of its owners, regardless of the presence or absence of representatives of our Organization. In case of damage or loss, the corresponding international conditions apply to each means of transport and to the hotels and the liability in this case is limited to those provided by these conditions. Our Organization is not responsible for the contents of the luggage.

In air travel, only 1 piece of luggage per passenger is allowed, usually weighing a maximum of 20 kg. In case of additional costs due to heavier luggage than allowed, these are borne exclusively by the traveler and are paid on the spot at the airport. It is also noted that the airlines allow only one small hand luggage (approximately 50x40x25) in the passenger cabin. The traveler is obliged to comply with the instructions, regulations and general policy of the airline in the matter of overweight luggage for which the respective airline is solely responsible and therefore the Organization has absolutely no responsibility for it. In case of damage or loss, the IATA Regulation applies.

11. Cancellations

Cancellations of participation by the traveler are made only in writing to our office and, regardless of the date of booking (and if it is not possible to assign his booking to another person under the conditions set out in Article 6 of the General Conditions of Participation), are subject to the following cancellation fees per person, depending on the time at which the cancellation takes place, regardless of whether the respective amounts have already been paid by travelers or not:

- For trips to Greece and abroad (and unless there is a different cancellation policy from the carrier or the hotel), except for "long distance" trips and trips to the Russian Federation:

Up to 45 days before departure: 50 € for trips in Greece and 150 € for trips abroad, per person, for administrative expenses.

From 44 to 30 days before departure: 40% of the total value of the trip.

From 29 to 14 days before departure: 75% of the total value of the trip.

From 13 days before departure until departure (non show): 100% of the total value of the trip.

- Cruises have different cancellation terms according to the terms of each company's contracts that apply to each cruise trip.

- For individual travelling different cancellation terms apply according to the terms of each airline fare as well as the cancellation policy of each hotel.

- In cases of non-refundable fares (inside or outside Greece), the cancellations reach even 100%, as determined by the airline or ferry company and mentioned in the program of the trip or the offer.

- For the characterized by the relevant programs of our Office as "long" trips as well as for trips to the Russian Federation, the cancellation fees are as follows:

Up to 2 months before departure, the total down payment (40% of the total value of the trip) for administrative expenses.

Up to 30 days before departure, 50% of the total value of the trip.

30 days before departure until departure (non show) 100% of the total value of the trip.

The above applies even in the event that the customer does not participate in all events of the program and / or uses his own means of transport (and unless there is a different cancellation policy from the carrier or the hotel).

For holiday departures, sporting or art exhibitions, cruises or trips on specially chartered flights or ships, the above cancellation periods may be longer and the retention rates higher, as explicitly stated in the program.

Charges are made regardless of the time of registration or whether the respective amounts have already been paid by travelers or not. In the event that one of the two persons who have chosen to stay or are staying in a double room cancels their participation, they will pay the corresponding cancellation fees. As long as the above cancellation fees are not equal to 100% of the total value of the trip, the person who will eventually travel will also pay the difference of his room, as he will be forced to stay in a single room.

In case of cancellation of the trip by the Tourist Organization and if the time of the reservation allows, the following deadlines for informing the Traveler are followed:

20 days before the departure date, when the trip lasts more than 6 days,

7 days before the departure date, when the trip lasts between two and six days,

48 hours before the departure date, when the trip takes less than two days

12. Settlement of Miscelaneous

We ensure that we are in line with current legislation, both at national and European level regarding the proper use of personal data. For the provision of travel services, the traveler consents to the processing of his personal data, such as identifying information and information regarding services he uses and habits which has. Find out more at our website www.mazitravel.com  travel and privacy policy.

The Tourist Organization and the traveler undertake to resolve in good faith any dispute that may arise during the execution of the contract of the organized trip.

In case of failure of the relevant efforts, the parties undertake to address the Amicable Dispute Resolution Committee of the Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies in Greece and to request its mediation. If the amicable settlement of the dispute is not possible, the Courts of Athens are competent.
