HATTA and FedHATTA further "unlock" the large market of Indian tourists

Greece emerged as a distinguished partner, through its dynamic representation in the Indian tourism market by FedHATTA and HATTA, at India's leading international hospitality awards event, the 18th Annual Hospitality India Travel Awards 2023, which took place on 24 November in New Delhi.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Greece to India, Mr. Dimitris Ioannou, the President of Greek Ministry of Tourism, Ms. Angela Gerekou spoke via web link while HATTA and FedHATTA were represented by the Association's Board Member, Mr. Theodoros Makris, CEO of Mazi Travel & Events.

The distinction of Greece as a top tourist destination for Indian travellers is the product of successive initiatives undertaken by HATTA and FedHATTA over the last decade, which have resulted in the opening of a large inbound tourism market for our country.

In the context of these initiatives, HATTA and FedHATTA, since 2014, have been participating with their own pavilion in the tourism exhibitions in India, promoting the multidimensional Greek tourism product to professionals and travellers of the Indian market, while they have taken the initiative and planning for the organization of fam trips to Greek destinations especially for Indian tourism professionals.

India is a large tourism market with great potential for Greek tourism, with Greece being among the top tourist destinations of choice for its travellers. The systematic and dynamic presence of our country in every tourism exhibition in India receives distinctions and becomes a meeting point for both tourism professionals and the traveling public.
