Classical Greece - Mykonos - Santorini

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time free time to make a first connection with the Greek capital. We propose a walk to enjoy the nightlife of Athens. Overnight in Athens.

After your breakfast, we will start the tour around Athens. This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (Old Royal Palace) guarded by the Evzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts the mind in order", the Parthenon.

Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis Museum. The evening is free. We recommend taking a tour to enjoy the beautiful sunset in Cape Sounion.  Overnight in Athens.

Today we have free time to enjoy the beauties of Athens. You can revisit some of the sites that interest you, or just stroll in the picturesque, paved streets in Plaka. On the other hand, if you wish to take another guided tour, we can offer you a variety of options. Overnight in Athens.

After breakfast, we will take the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop for photos). Continue with a visit to the Theatre of Epidaurus famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nafplion (for a short stop) and drive on to Mycenae for a visit to the Archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon. Lunch during the visit. Overnight in Athens.

Early morning transfer to the port of Athens to board the ferry for the island of Mykonos. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your selected hotel.  A day at leisure in Mykonos to enjoy this unique island. Mykonos island is a wonderful kaleidoscope of cosmopolitan shops, rocking bars, quaint windmills, great beaches, homey taverns, and hidden churches all set against a brilliant blue backdrop. And it's not just the water that sparkles in the sun on Mykonos, but also the marble streets and beautiful white cubist buildings that characterize the island's architecture.

A day at leisure in Mykonos to enjoy this unique island. Or join the following optional tour. Mykonos Island Tour  We start with a unique experience of the countryside of Mykonos Island. Our first stop will be the idyllic beach Agios Ioannis with the best view of Delos Island and we will see fishermen and their boats at the small pier, private chapel and houses built in typical Cycladic architectural style. At the village of Ano Mera, the most traditional place, you can also visit the monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century and then we will have enough free time for a stroll around the square, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a drink or ouzo (not included) and wish with the local people “stin igia mas” (cheers).

Next stop is Kalafatis beach where there is time to relax a little and have a coffee or a refreshment (not included in the price), before going back to town.  Exploring Mykonos port town by walking into the narrow cobblestone streets, passing by the traditional labyrinth of the old town. We will see the famous windmills and Little Venice. We will also visit, Paraportiani church and Saint Nicholas church. After the walking tour, you are free to continue your private exploration in town. Meeting point Fabrika Square, Mykonos town.

At the indicated time you will be transferred to the port to board the ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival in Santorini, you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel. A day at leisure in Santorini to enjoy this unique island. Santorini is a wonderful place with a magnificent view and cosmopolitan shops, rocking bars, homey taverns and hidden churches all set against a brilliant blue backdrop. 

Today's tour starts with a visit to the Akrotiri Archaeological site, one of the most important prehistoric settlements in Greece. Akrotiri is a Bronze Age settlement on the volcanic island of Santorini, buried under volcanic ash during the 17th century BC, preserving the whole city in perfect conditions, often referred to as "Prehistoric Pompeii."

Next, visit the unique Red Beach, where soaring red lava cliffs drop to the sandy shore and the clear blue sea. Continue to the premier black sand beach of Perivolos, offering a variety of restaurants, taverns, cafes, beach bars, and water sports.

The tour also includes a walking tour of Megalochori, one of the most beautiful traditional villages on the island, with typical Cycladic houses, neoclassical buildings, and small houses dug in volcanic rock, adorned with small white churches and blue domes.

Enjoy a photo stop at Profitis Ilias mountain, the highest peak on the island, offering a striking view of Santorini from the patchwork agricultural plains to the hilltop village of Oia.
