How to use transportation in Ithaka
Port transfer options
Ithaka does not have its own airport. It is served by that of Kefalonia. However, in Anogi of Ithaka there is a helipad for private or chartered helicopters.
The main ports of Ithaca are Vathy, Pisaetos and Frikes.
The Ferry connection Patras – Ithaka runs daily and the trip lasts around 3.5 hours.
The ferry connection Kefalonia – Ithaka is served about 3 times a day from the port of Sami to Pisaetos. The boat trip from Kefalonia to Ithaka takes 20-30 minutes.
The ferry connection Nidri Lefkada-Ithaka is served every day during the summer season and the journey takes about an hour and a half.
Public transportation
If you do not have your own car to discover the island and its beautiful villages do not worry, in Ithaca you can travel by bus, taxi and of course the boats that will take you to the nearby beaches for a swim.
